MELLOW MUSHROOM

If you have never been to a Mellow Mushroom before, you should go. Every Mellow Mushroom location is different and tells a story. Therefore, this project was a perfect fit for us. The franchise owner is a big fan of classic rock music, loves to travel, and is also a native of Lynchburg. We combined this information with some inspiration images and came up with an urban art deco-inspired design story sprinkled with fun details. We used classic art deco design elements such as patterned partitions, art deco wallpapers, rich jewel-toned fabrics, glazed tiles, and brushed brass metals and added our twist with custom lighting made out of old microphones, a topographic 3D depiction of the local Blue Ridge mountain range view and mural artwork by a local artist. We also incorporated an oversized neon sign, which reads a classic quote by Charlie Chaplin.
